LAWN MOWING

The lawn and landscape will be thoroughly cleaned of leaves, sticks and other debris to get the lawn ready for spring. Most lawns require one visit in the spring. Once the mowing season begins, turf will be mowed at a height of 3” during normal conditions. Most turf requires mowing every 7 days while actively growing and as needed during the slow growing season. Mowing services will include trimming, edging, and clean-up. In the fall when the leaves begin to fall, we will clean up the leaves through the end of the season. Most lawns require several visits in the fall. All debris will be placed on the curb for our leaf vac truck to remove them that day or the following morning.

FERTILIZATION & WEED CONTROL

Pro-Mow Team spreading fertilizer on lawn.

Our 5-step program provides your turf with appropriately timed fertilizers and both pre-emergent and post-emergent weed control to ensure a healthy lawn.

The Step 1 application is a slow release fertilizer and pre-emergent herbicide to control crabgrass. It will be applied March 1 – April 15.

The Step 2 application is a blanket sprayed broadleaf herbicide that is applied April 1 – May 31.

Step 3 is a summer slow release fertilizer applied June 1 – July 15. Grub Control is included in this application. We will also spot treat for broadleaf weeds as needed.

The step 4 application is fertilizer and blanket sprayed broadleaf herbicide applied September 1 – October 15.

Step 5 is a slow release winterizing fertilizer applied
October 15 – November 31.

SURFACE FEEDING INSECT CONTROL

The group of bugs and insects that feed above ground, also known as surface feeding insects can severely damage your lawn, by chewing grass plants and sucking vital plant juices from grass blades. As a preventive measure, this service controls lawn damaging insects before they become a problem. As a curative measure, this service controls insects that are actively damaging a lawn. The application will control damaging surface feeding insects such as Chinch Bug, Sod Webworms, Army Worms
and Greenbug Aphids.

FUNGUS CONTROL

Turf grass diseases may infest your lawn throughout the year. These diseases thrive in damp, cool overcast weather. An application of fungicide will control existing fungus problems and prevent them for up to one month.

OVER-SEEDING

Pro-Mow working adding seeds to feeder.

Your lawn may need some new life. By seeding in the fall, you will be sure the new grass is germinated and healthy enough for the winter. It will help to fill in the thin areas that may have occurred over the year.

FALL CORE AERATION

Annual fall core aeration is very important. This helps create a denser turf with a healthier root system and a higher stress tolerance for drought and disease. The plugs will be left on the turf to help decompose any thatch layer that may exist.

LIME APPLICATION

Spreading Lime Application On Lawn.

Lawn lime applications make soil pH less acidic. Soil pH affects turfgrass by making plant nutrients and other elements more available to the plant. The further away from the ideal pH the soil gets, the less the plant can utilize the nutrients in the soil. Lime also speeds thatch decomposition, limits some turf-damaging insects and diseases, and improves the ‘living environment’ of the soil.
